I had met Elliott through a friend from work about four months before I entered the market to buy a house. When the time came to start looking, I remembered Elliott and his winning personality. I called him up and we started talking about where I was in life, and what kind of housing situation I was looking for. Elliott took the time to learn ME, and what my goals for the future were. As a first-time home buyer in my 20's, I had no clue what I was doing. He paid attention to my concerns, and it was important to him that I not bite off more than I could chew. He advised me along the way so that we would find the right house and fit for me - something manageable that would not become a money pit. Elliott is a family man with a wife and two children. He is great at balancing his work and home life, still being accessible when I needed to get ahold of him. He has strong family values and is a trustworthy person. Because I was in the sub-$200k range in a white-hot Nashville housing market, it took me seven months of diligent searching before I found the perfect house. Elliott didn't give up on me though. Never once did he tell me it just wasn't going to happen in this market. He didn't ignore me or neglect my many emails, texts, and calls. He would check in on a regular basis and kept me motivated to keep looking. With any questions that arose, he always provided an honest and informed answer or told me he would find out if he didn't know. He never tried to fake it or just tell me what I wanted to hear. I remember one of the very first houses we went to see. Elliott had arrived early, and once I got there, he greeted me and immediately said, "let me show you something." He showed me an obscure but serious problem with the electric of the house that was going to prevent me from getting a loan on it. He said we should keep looking. What I appreciated about this was that Elliott was serious about not wasting my time. He knew what we needed to be looking for, and that house wasn't it. He wasn't afraid to tell me that and remained positive that we would find something else. I was shopping in a very competitive price range and had to make over two dozen offers, not to mention the dozens and dozens of houses we went to look at. Elliott hung in there with me, and on a rainy Saturday seven months later, we walked into the last house I would make an offer on - one I now call home. And guess what, I got it $50K under what I was offering on other similarly sized homes. And, it is was in the best shape of any house I offered on by far! I couldn't be more satisfied. Elliott negotiated the deal, finding agreeable terms with the seller. There were some repairs to be made before closing, and he helped me navigate that as well. Throughout the closing process, Elliott was timely and kept me in the loop. We closed in 30 days exactly. Elliott has checked in on me with multiple phone calls since my closing over a month ago. Just wanted to see how the house was treating me. He really cares. I intend to keep working with Elliott for all of my real estate needs and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell in Nashville or the surrounding area.
